Betrayal Explained in Fake Friends Poems

Friendship is one of the greatest blessings in life. The word friend leads us to all kinds of pleasant thoughts and memories. Love and friendship have spawned some of the greatest poetry and songs of all time. Other than our family, it is hard to think of anyone that we love more than our friends.

Since friendship is such a highly valued thing, perhaps that is the reason that few things can hurt as much as finding out that a friend has betrayed us. Love and friendship have helped to create many beautifully inspired poems. Betrayal and disloyalty has led to the creation of many fake friends poems.

Fake friends poems stem from hearts that have been broken. Who among us has not had at least one experience when a friend caused us pain and anguish by betraying our relationship with them? Fake friends poems get to the heart of the matter and do not mince any words in the process.

For example, a young poet named Lilia writes:

“Best friends forever
is what you would say
but I guess you lied
and broke my heart in every way”

Lilia’s words capture the heartbreak of losing a friend or finding that the person who claims to be your friend is, in fact, deceiving you. It is almost always the most vivid, and often, painful memories and feelings that drive us to write poetry. Writing fake friends poems can be a great emotional release to the author. As there are few things that hurt so much as betrayal, it is important to be able to express these feelings.

We can all agree that we do not ever want to find out that a person, who we consider a true friend, is in fact a fake friend. It hurts! There is no other way to describe it than pain.

Lilia further wrote in her poem:
“You were the one I could count on
the one to always be there
it meant the world to me
but you didn't even care”

Fake friends poems, like the one that Lilia wrote, capture the pain, anguish and disappointment that the loss of a friend can cause. We like to think that our friends are people that we can depend on for the rest of our lives. It often turns out that they never cared for us at all. One of the painful concepts that fake friends poems can capture so vividly, is that of the disbelief involved when we find that we have been manipulated by a fake friends for years.

Poetry can be a portal to our souls. It can describe the beauty of life, the pain of death, or the betrayal of a friend. Fake friends poetry is never easy for an author to write. But it is good to know, if you are going through a similar situation of betrayal by a supposed friend, that someone has walked that road before you, and understands the pain that fake friends can cause in our lives.
